About
A storm stirred deep inside, and nobody knew what he could hide. Turmoil and chaos held within, laid in wait after the battles' end. This warrior should’ve received a hero’s death, but instead he destroys all that's left. Empty of faith, void of feeling, nothing was available that could offer healing. Poked and prodded and given the gauntlet, everyone fears the unknown and haunted. But he arose above it all, after receiving a Heavenly call. To serve and protect those in need, began a mission of purpose, healing, and fulfillment indeed. To bridge a gap and create a link, between families who fight and those who think. Welcome to the rise of 10 CAN, Inc. - Dr. Matthew R. Burke

Do You Believe There’s a Cure for PTSD?
We didn’t, until recently. Post-Traumatic Stress was once considered one of the most complex challenges the human mind could face. Treatments were complicated and often involved high doses of medication, intense talk therapy, and brain stimulation therapy. As suicide rates among warriors continued to rise, we realized something had to change. It was for that reason 10 CAN was born.
About 10 CAN, Inc.
10 CAN, Inc. (aka the Christian Adventure Network) was founded by a wounded warrior to support military and first responder families, impoverished women, and youth. We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit dedicated to suicide prevention, adolescent development, and conservation. Outdoor recreation, education, and rehabilitation are our three modalities that empowers purpose, restores families, and develops perseverance.
Though faith-based, our approach is inclusive and non-denominational, promoting spiritual readiness for the entire family. By addressing the mind, body, and soul, we offer a holistic and exciting approach to post-traumatic growth. Healing can be fun when the battle’s already won!
Our Approach and Impact
Our solution is simple, yet dynamic, with a proven track record in suicide prevention, restoration of relationships, and instilling a sense of purpose. Our approach is derived from Saving Heroes, written by Dr. Burke, where he outlines the formula for treating trauma and how it should be tailored to each warrior’s unique experiences. We recognize that true healing requires a personalized approach, one that integrates an organic approach through nature immersion and early-life experiences.

At 10 CAN, we view the outdoors as a sanctuary for growth and healing, and as a classroom for learning and self-reliance. Our model of ministry is action-oriented, adventurous, and bridges the gap between the Church and warriors. Faith is a vital part of healing moral wounds; without it, only temporary relief occurs.
We offer a variety of programs to meet the diverse needs of warriors, women, and youth. While our primary programs include outdoor education and training (hunt-fish-farm-survive), our reach goes beyond these activities to serve the full range of needs for communities across America. We offer additional services through strategic partnerships with peer organizations.
Our Mission
To research, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art mental health services for past, present, and future military and first responder personnel; foster organic healing through natural pathways, peer-to-peer support, and spiritual readiness; preserve and protect natural resources; create easily assessable and all-natural therapy sessions.

History of Our Name
The name “10 CAN” was divinely inspired. It represents the ten elements of life essential for balance and wholeness. Think of it as a 10-spoke wheel: if one spoke is broken, the entire wheel loses balance. Just like in life—when one part is off, it affects everything. Thankfully, God has provided a simple checkbox approach to healing.
Synergy
We are honored to collaborate with a diverse range of organizations, churches, schools, businesses, and individuals. These partnerships allow us to transcend political and religious boundaries, reaching deep into the heart of communities where others cannot. Together, we provide expertise in hosting life-changing outdoor adventures while relying on our partners for additional support and referrals.
By focusing on outdoor ministry and a holistic, faith-driven approach, 10 CAN seeks to empower our service members, first responders, and their families to heal, grow, and thrive. We are committed to changing lives through connection, faith, and action.
