We are devoted to making an impact in these prevailing global issues:

A lack of clean water is STILL the biggest issue on our planet. Over 1 Billion people in our world have no access to clean water. That’s basically 1 out of every 6 people on our planet. More than 3 million people, mostly children, die each year from preventable waterborne illnesses. Water and sanitation are some of the most solvable issues in our world; yet still remain at the top of the list of the most perilous. 10can is dedicated to partnering with organizations to make an impact in developing world communities through clean water and sanitation projects.
- 2. Hunger
- 2. HungerPosted 168 days ago
More than 900 million people in our world go hungry...every day. Each day, around 16,000 people (mostly children) die of hunger-related issues. In developing countries (more than 75% of our world) more than 6 million children die each year from hunger and its related ailments. The reality: Hunger CAN end. We have the means, we just need to allocate them adequately. The UN Development Program estimates that an extra $13 Billion/year would provided basic health and nutrition needs for the poorest in our world. American and European pet owners spend more $ on pet food per year than the $ amount needed to foster change. 10can is committed to partner with organizations that are focused on food relief and sustainable agriculture projects.
- 3. Education
- 3. EducationPosted 168 days ago
For us in the western world, it is hard to believe that more than a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names. And, a lack of access to equitable education continues to be a growing problem today. This stems from multiple variables both cultural and financial in nature. Millions of children are not allowed the privilege of education due to a lack of financial resources needed to provide uniforms, shoes, school supplies, and on a larger scale, school buildings. The means for survival in some communities, mean that children will bear the brunt of the labor needed for basic family needs. Overall, education enhances lives and is one of the primary tools needed to give children a chance at breaking the cycle of poverty for their own generation. 10can is dedicated to partnering with organizations that are focused on providing solutions resulting in sustainable education.
- 4. Slavery
- 4. SlaveryPosted 168 days ago
Yes, there is a lot of attention being raised about slavery and trafficking today. This is for good reason! There are more people enslaved and oppressed in our world today than ever in our history. Many victims of slavery and human trafficking are forced to work in prostitution or the sex entertainment industry. But trafficking and oppression also occur in forms of labor exploitation, such as domestic servitude, restaurant work, janitorial work, sweatshop factory work and migrant agricultural work. After drug dealing, the trafficking of humans is tied with arms dealing as the second largest criminal industry in the world, and is the fastest growing. It is happening right here, right now; in our world, on our doorstep. It is devastating the lives of millions of men, women and children each year. 10can believes that human rights demand everyone's freedom. 10can is committed to supporting the work of agencies and organizations who are working diligently to eradicate the evil of oppression and slavery.
- 5. Poverty

Poverty is an ominous issue, and there is no way to decisively define simple causes for poverty on a broad scale. However, great strides are being made on a micro- level to stimulate local economies and create sustainable resources in developing communities. Through micro-enterprise and micro-lending, thousands of communities throughout the developing world are seeing the rise of financial health by local entrepreneurs being empowered to shape their future. 10can believes that there is a bridge between charitable aid and financial sustainability. We are committed to supporting the work of those who believe the same to be true.

Our environment matters! Whether you're a nature activist or a purveyor of the outdoors, we live in a culture in which eco matters. In many nations reforestation and sustainable crops are not only good for the "eco trends", but are essential to establishing community sustainability. Whether it is debris removal in the wake of natural disasters, or reforestation projects that focus on planting fruit-bearing plants in rural communities, 10can is committed to seeing the world we live in do more than just survive. By supporting organizations who are making great strides in eco-development, we will see lives, and entire regions, transformed.
- 7. Orphans
- 7. OrphansPosted 168 days ago
It is estimated that there are more than 200 million orphans worldwide. Every day 5,760 more children become orphans. That is 200 million little boys and girls that don't have a family. No place to call home. No one to care for them and offer love and protection. This is not ok. Children are our future. Future world leaders, future artists, future musicians..today's vulnerable children. We believe this can be changed. 10can is dedicated to partnering with organizations that are caring for the least of these and bringing hope to deserving children.

There are 6.9 billion people on the earth. 82 million have malaria. 34 million have HIV/AIDS. 14 million have Tuberculosis. That doesn't even scratch the surface of all of the other diseases that plague our population. The crazy thing is most of them are preventible. Simple sanitation practices, vaccines, medications, training and overall cleanliness all have a huge impact on entire communities affected by outbreaks. By providing education, funding, and manpower to affected regions, change can happen. 10can is dedicated to partnering with organizations who are on the ground facilitating physical and emotional health.
- 9. Disaster Relief
- 9. Disaster ReliefPosted 168 days ago
Natural disasters are causing massive devastation to all corners of the globe. Earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and hurricanes displace entire communities at a time. Often times we are quick to move on from a natural disaster. But communities see lasting effects as their water supplies are tainted, their agriculture is ruined, and their trees are uprooted. 10can knows there is a time to respond quickly in crisis, to remain committed to the cause after the media has moved on. Adequate allocation of resources and knowing where to respond first is crucial in disaster scenarios. 10can is grateful for the opportunity to work with disaster organizations who are on the ground and ready to mobilize in their response.

- 10. CommunityPosted 168 days ago
After communities can establish the basic systems of access to clean water, sanitation, and food resources, a natural next step is to begin to contextualize the community structure. Whether improving local markets, building a community center that functions as a school, clinic, library and meeting space, or building houses in urban renewal projects, community development is at the heart of 10can. We look forward to seeing change literally built and developed through our partnerships with community development organizations who know the intricate needs of the places in which they work.
