our story.
Being in the non-profit world over the past 10 years, we have seen 2 threads of continuous struggle in charities and non-profit organizations across the board: 1) a lack of funds and 2) a lack of exposure. Many of these organizations are doing incredible work but simply lack the funds to sustain their great work or lack the ability to let others know about the impact they are having. This is where 10can works to bridge that gap. Since 2007, through our work with iamchange, we have devoted ourselves to raising awareness about the issues affecting people throughout the developing world and empowering those who are working hard to address these issues. We continue to be dedicated to these same values today.
In our current culture, we understand that people want to make an impact; they often don’t know where to begin. And, there is often the overwhelming sense that the little we do, might not be enough. We are giving people a starting point and making it apparent that just $10 CAN make a major difference. The path to changing the world is a long, winding, and often lonely journey. But, together, doing a little at a time and focusing on specific goals, we are seeing real change happen throughout the world.
We understand the reality that one heart, one set of hands, one dream, one person…can really impact this world in powerful ways. The world is watching…and right now they are waiting…waiting for us, as a people, to respond with a heart of love, mercy, redemption, grace, and justice. Doing nothing changes nothing, but doing something changes everything!
what we do.
We decided it was time to do something to respond to these threads of struggle. What we do is pretty simple. We partner with an organization. We build a campaign for them, which includes a custom shirt design, a direct giving option through the 10can foundation, marketing and branding materials, and our online social media efforts. We launch this 10 day campaign to raise awareness and money for the featured partner organization. You buy a shirt, we donate $10. But it gets better. Want to skip the shirt? You can donate $10 to the partner organization. Want to buy a shirt AND donate an additional $10? You can do that too. We will still donate $10 from EVERY shirt sold.
